A VERY random entry--hmm sounds a little on the superficial side, but oh well [Dec. 30th, 2003|08:07 am]

I feel like I need to do something important, but I don't know what it is I need to do. It's frustrating! Do any of you ever feel like that?

A couple days ago I was on the computer, and I felt something watching me. I turned and it was my little brother Julian standing in the doorway staring at me. *laughs* He needs to find more important things to do.

And why did I share that? No clue.

I think people take New Year's a little too seriously. It's just our own concept of time that changes a year. In fact, in nature there are no years, only cycles. So, we created this change ourselves and therefore it only exists in our own minds.
I'm proud of myself--I used to freak out when the year changed, or when I had a birthday, or stuff like that.

My birthday is coming too fast! It's on Jan. 15, and that's 17 days away. But this year, I won't freak out and feel old. I'm only going to be 17, after all. I'll have enough time years from now to feel old, if I want to waste my life in that way.

Hey, this is working, this is getting my thoughts organized!

I know I never shut up about the books I'm reading, but I'm almost done with the Memory, Sorrow & Thorn series. 200 pages to go! But I'm kind of sad because I'll miss reading them and I don't really know what to read after them. Maybe the Harry Potter series again--I've only read that once, and those are great books too. LOTR needs a little rest--after reading them 7 times, they're starting to get...predictable, and I don't want that to happen and ruin them for me.

Hey, you know what? I have some great friends. Not just on or off the computer either--I have them on both! And I'm really thankful for all of you. I have people to talk with, people to get to know, people who are there for me. And no matter where I go, online or off, they are there for me. So, even if you're not able to read this because you're not on LJ, I'm so thankful for all of you!

Okay, I'm done. G'day to all!

Yay--it's a relief to know other people feel like that.
I hate it when life feels that way, it's very frustrating. I hope you find some fulfilling things to do soon! I need to too...I feel the same way.

Reading is fun. I loooove the Harry Potter series. If you are looking for something really good to read, and fantasy-ish check out the Sevenwaters Trilogy by Juliet Mariller. Or the Redwall series by Brian Jacques.
Yes, indeed friends rock.
In reply to the do any of you guys feel like that, I feel like that quite often. But its fleeting.

Thanks--the Harry Potter and Redwall series are so cool! I read just about everything by Brian Jacques at one point, but thank you, those are great books! I'll have to check out the Sevenwaters Trilogy sometime--that sounds great.
Yeah, friends are the best!
Yay, I'm not nuts--other people feel like that!

I read those a while ago--they were so cool! But thank you, those are a great choice, and if I hadn't read them already they would be perfect.
Hmm...I should read them again one of these days...
