Answers selected have asterisks.
Which do you desire more in life:
a. Peace and comfort
b. Wealth and success
c. Adventure and accomplishment
**d. Meaning and purpose**

The main character in the movie, a hobbit named Frodo Baggins, starts his journey with three loyal friends. Do you have two or more friends who you believe will stay with you no matter what challenges you face in this life?
Yes--Catalina, John, Greg, Cheryle, my family, and my LJ friends

Frodo began his journey not knowing where to go or how it would end. If you think of your life as a journey, what do you want to be true at the end of your life's journey? I want to be healthy and happy, as well as having saved the Earth from destruction. I have a lot to accomplish, although the third wish is nearly impossible.

Frodo and his companions find themselves the target of evil's relentless efforts. Do you feel you have experienced evil in your life? If so, how? Yes--my illness is evil, as is the way I act sometimes. So was my parents' divorce.

a. Do you believe there are spiritual or supernatural realms to life, existing beyond the senses? Of course!

b. If there were more to life than you currently recognize, would you want to know? Definitely!

The best things to live for are those perceived as impossible. If you have everything you set out to accomplish done, what's the point?

Re:

Yeah--you're very right about that. I'll try to think in that way in the future.

Amanda, I realize that you see our parents divorce as evil, and that it's important to admit to that as part of your therapy, but hopefully eventually you'll realize that this just isn't true. Our father is abusive. He completely destroyed my life and our mother's life. He was abusive to you as well even though you it wasn't quite to the same extent. But he obviously really fucked you up too, seeing as you can't ever be yourself or even speak much louder than a whisper when you are with him. The marriage was what was evil. Our parents divorce was probably the happiest day of my life.

Re:

That's good--I hope I'll realize that soon. I know it consciously, but subconsciously I'm still at a loss.
And yeah, I remember trying to talk to him and hearing him say "Get out of my way. You're blocking the TV".

Re:

Well, that's not all of it, but that is part of it. I'm glad you remember that much at least.

Thanks--I'm sorry he was so mean to you and Mama, though.
