College! Yeaah! [Jun. 16th, 2003|07:15 pm]

[Listening to |Hmm...I haven't listened to music at all today.]

Well, I have just completed my first day of college, and it seems better than high school. Much better. And the best point of all is that the teachers don't try to scare you on the first day and overwhelm you with work. Well, there is the fact that I have to read a chapter of psychology by 10:30 tomorrow, but that's no big deal (if you don't think overly much about the price of the book, that is).
I don't like my Yoga teacher, though, but I guess I'll put up with her in order to learn the material. And according to Crystal the other teacher for this class isn't much better.
And do I feel like a different person? Not especially. I feel pretty smart, though, for understanding everything my psychology teacher was saying, and for taking 2 1/2 pages of notes on the first day (again, I know I'm a nerd). And tomorrow or Wednesday I plan to register for fall. I really hope I can get Conservation of Natural Resources and Lifetime Fitness, but if they're taken I'll sign up for something else. Well, I'm probably boring you all by now, so I'll change the subject.
I just signed up for Instant Messenger, and had my first online conversation with taer_silveroak. It was fun. Oh yeah--if anyone else wants to talk, just call me at minuetcat13. I e-mailed all my friends, but none of them had given me their names yet. Oh well. I guess they have better things to do than sit at the computer all day--in fact, so do I.

Re: YAHOO...

Hey cool! I want to major in Environmental Science too, although unfortunately our community college doesn't have that major. Good luck with your graduation!
Yeah, I know what you mean--school can be addictive, and college seems really fun (if one day can gauge that). I'm kind of at a loss as to exactly what to do after college though, but I guess I have some time to think about it. Until then, thanks--I will study hard, and hopefully learn in the process.
And thanks for your user name--feel free to add me to your "buddies" list, if you want to. Hopefully we can talk sometime.

Re: YAHOO...

That's really cool--two degrees can really come in handy in the future.
Maybe I can go to SJ State when I'm done with my AA degree. That would be fun.
I'll talk to you later, and I hope you'll have a good one too.

I wasn't bored reading this at all. Then again, I am one of the biggest geeks around ;)

I thought you had agreed to DROP yoga. You can take it again some other time, with a different teacher. Or take a different PE class.

Re:

Will you please stop forcing me to do things I don't want to do? I want to get yoga over with now, and I don't want to drop a class. I'ts important to me not to, so can you please respect that? I told you this about three times...
