I've been meaning to provide information about our cats (or, should I say, the cats that live with us) for a while. Here's a little about them:
Minuet is grey with cream-colored spots and lives with me. She's a very sweet girl and always cheers me up. She's spoiled, however, but that's okay because she deserves it after the life she led before we found her. She has big olive eyes and a tooth that sticks out of her mouth (her jaw had been broken before we found her). She's darling, and I love her very much. I named my LJ after her.
Ione is a beautiful black cat with long hair and golden eyes. She lives in the family room and is always there for us. Her back had been injured one day from her going under some furniture, so we took her in for neurosurgery. It cost a lot, but it was more than worth it to see her walking again. She has a hard time jumping but we occaisonally find her on a chair or bed with an accomplished look on her face, waiting to be pet for her accomplishment.
Leila is a tiny tortoise-shell cat, and she is absolutely darling. She has green eyes and a creaky voice, and she's always meowing to be let outside. Unfortunately we don't let our cats outside because we live near a busy street, but she often manages to slip out anyway. She loves playing games with us outside, like when she pretends to go back in the house and then dashes away.
Kitty is a tabby cat with light brown eyes, and she lives in various rooms of the house. She used to sleep in my room but is now allowed to be in the rest of the house during the night. She loves sleeping in the window or on the nice warm modem, as well as following people around and getting pet.
Katy is also a tortoise-shell, much larger than Leila, with big, owl-like jade-green eyes. She lives with Mama and is very scared of Ione, who chases her whenever she peeks her head out of the room. Perhaps Ione thinks she stole Mama's rom away from her. Anyway, Katy has a voice that sounds just like honey. She loves playing with peoples' hand when they pet her--it's a little game of hers.
Max is a large tabby cat and the only male cat in the house. He has a white chest and paws and lives in Crystal's room. As a kitten, he was darling, and now he's quite beautiful. I like him a lot but hardly ever get to see him.
So, there's a brief overview of the cats in our house. I hope everyone enjoyed reading it--I really enjoyed writing it.
