Yesterday (a somewhat boring account will follow) [Sep. 7th, 2003|04:40 pm]

We went to the doll show yesterday. It was great because everything there was so low-priced. I know this sounds shallow, so I just want to let everyone know that I usually hate shopping, but when the doll show comes around I make some exceptions. I can't even remember all the dolls my mother and sister bought, but all of them were beautiful, and their prices had been drastically reduced. I even got one for Crystal for a Christmas present, and the little doll was very happy to have a home. And I got three prints and two bookmarks designed by Amy Brown (see links below for the prints):

...and guess what? That's all I got. They're beautiful pictures.

And then my father picked me up and we went to the fabric store, where I got supplies to make homemade candles and soap to give away for Christmas. I made them today, and the soap came out beautifully. The candles--not so beautifully, but oh well. At least they smell good. Then we walked around stores for a while until my headache got so bad that I had to go home. I don't know why, but whenever I go to a doll show, I always get a headache. And this one was the worst yet--I still have it today.
Anyway, we all seem to be adjusting to Cassy's death. I no longer half-expect to see her every time I walk into the living room. She's gone, and I now realize it. And I know that she's happy, wherever she is. I want to thank everyone for all of the kind words I recieved about her death--they were greatly appreciated.
So, just a general update. I hope it wasn't too boring. Have a good day, everyone.

Thanks a lot--I'll add you too.
Yeah, I can't tell you how many times my best friend and I have gone to the fabric store and looked at beads. And every time it was fun.
And thank you--I hope you do as well.

Maybe you shouldn't go to doll shows anymore if they give you headaches. Why do you think they give you headaches?
And I'm very deeply sorry about the seeing-your-father thing.
Man, you have a lot of friends.

Hmm...perhaps because there's all the dust on the dolls, and more noise than I'm used to. But I'll still continue to go because it's worth it.
Thank you--I appreciate it. And yeah--lots of friends.

As long as you think it's worth it, that's what's important. Maybe we can try and figure out exactly what it is that causes the headaches, and try to lessen it's effect on you.

I'm glad you appreciate it... I try. And yes, I sounded sarcastic, but as I'm sure you know I really wasn't.

Hey, I have 16 now! That's still not as many as I had before I lost 4 of them, but I'm getting there again. And I'm really particular about my friends anyway.
