"Life's a sexually transmitted disease that is universally fatal."
YES! Hahahaha. The brilliance! :D
Apparently it's a saying, but I'd never heard it before.
----------------
The last of the boxes are packed. The rest will fit into the suitcases (I hope).
There are five medium boxes I will be sending to Rahway--dang that's a lot of stuff. I hate being weighed down with it. The image of me carting all that stuff around on my back, and never being free of it...yeah, it's been haunting me.

I've donated half of my stuff to charity, and that felt great. Cleansing, almost. The rest...well, I either really need it, or know that I'll regret it later if I throw it away. Silly material things, and silly me.

They have not succeded in bothering me today. Good. Probably because I agreed to pay for my boxes' shipment. Shouldn't let it bother me any more than it does--they'll only get off on seeing me upset.

Unfortunately, my packing strategy tends to run along the lines of, "Homg it's one day until I have to be out the dorms so just throw everything into whatever box is handy and ensure that my things will be so chaotically jumbled that I'll procrastinate unpacking until summer is over!" Maybe a different plan of action is in order this year. xD

But getting rid of unnecessary things is surprisingly freeing. :3 It's hard to realize how much mental clutter physical clutter can cause until it's not there anymore.

Hahaha, I'm gonna look forward to that experience :)
And yeah, I LOVE it. I feels so good and simplifying.

My father is amazed at how little you're taking with you.

Gosh...by the way people see it, I guess it is a little. But to me...THAT many boxes of stuff I ABSOLUTELY need? I feel horribly materialistic, lol.

I hate packing. Passionately. It's like trying to organise things you have forgotten about into a neat, orderly pile. I either try to pack in advance by having everything organised into groups or just cram stuff into places and label them.

Aw, and me...I always pack as soon in advance as I possibly can. I have...problems. lol

The degree to which I hate packing is evidenced by my contemplation of buying a plasma TV. At the moment I own an eighty centimetre CRT (about 32" from corner to corner), and the damned thing weighs more kilos than it has viewable area! A plasma TV fits in a box about half the size. *laughs*

Well, I bought a plasma TV. Not sure why. But I will put it in a journal entry later.
