|Life never ceases to confound!

Tonight Ari and I were heading out to take Chester on his walk. It'd been snowing/slushing all day and since night had fallen everything had gotten very icy and precarious. "Be careful on the steps!", his father had warned us before we headed out.
So, being very careful, I managed to go down the first flight of porch steps without incident. I was silently congratulating myself about this new, impressive development when, lo and behold!, Ari slipped and fell down the stairs. He was quickly followed by a very puzzled Chester who, in spite of his four sturdy legs, had also managed to lose his footing. Very thankfully, they were ok (just a bit sore).
So being the accident-prone, slippery-footed klutz I usually am, I'm left shocked, amused and puzzling over the irony of this. For once, not only did I remain unscathed but BOTH of these sure-footed guys took uncharacteristic hits.
Life sure is puzzling sometimes, eh?
