Too many readings! [Dec. 27th, 2003|04:53 pm]

[Current Mood |accomplishedweird.bored.non-grammatical]

I'm in a very strange mood tonight, so ignore me if my grammar starts getting annoying.

I can't believe I would ever say this, but I'm tired of reading. At least for a couple hours, lol. So I painted an elephant picture instead, with the watercolors I got from Santa. It's the first time I've made an attempt at anything artistic in a very long time, and to my surprise it turned out quite well. I'll post a picture here as soon as can be.

Meanwhile, at the wildlife center, the Saturday crew (including the narrator of this story) were able to release a red-tailed hawk.
It was the first release I had attended, and it was so cool to see the hawk go free after so long. She was obviously very happy about it as well, because she perched in a tree for a long time, just looking around her. And then an angry Cooper's Hawk came, looked at her, and flew away. Then she flew away, and on the edge of the small valley we saw her fighting with what looked like another red-tailed hawk.
But I have the feeling she will be all right. She is very strong and stubborn, and those traits will serve her well, I think.

Anyway...pictures! I'll take some in a jiffy.

Wow, that must have been something to watch. Quite symbolistic when you thing about it. Hehe A release signifying freedom... Yeah quite an obvious realization, but I felt the need to type it. Have a wonderful day.

Thanks--I hope you have a wonderful day as well :)
It was so cool, and yes, very symbolistic indeed. I've never thought about it before, but maybe everything is symbolic. Hmm... Anyway, I'm glad the hawk has her freedom now, and I'm sure she is too, lol.
