A great book [Jul. 24th, 2003|06:05 pm]
[Current Mood |busybusy]

I just finished reading "They Stole Our Country: We're taking Her Back!" by Walter Pietsch, and it had a lot of important (not to mention hopeful) messages. Here are some quotes, if you're interested:
"The United States Government continues to maintain top-secret files on literally hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of United States citizens who have actively opposed the criminal actions of of our own government."
"Is this the kind of country and kind of world we really want? Do we want a country run by greed, run by those seeking only profits, those who have no concern for the rest of us, who seek to assert total control over our lives?"
Anyway, I really learned a lot from reading it, and I highly recommend it.

In other news, I turned in my final and journals to my Psychology teacher today, so that's it! I made cookies to celebrate (of course). The next courses is are Ecology and Lifetime Fitness in the fall, which I should take if I'm still here. My mother says I may live with my father for a semester because the change of scenery would be good for me. I not looking forward to that, although he does have the Internet. Anyway, I wish you all a good day.

The far off dream of moving to Ireland looks better every day.

Glad to hear you liked the book so much. As i said, it's the best thing i've read since i first started reading Krishnamurti 10 years ago.
And while some of his ideas may be a little far-fetched, the basic principles he talks about are important. So share the knowledge with others, and together we might just be able to take back this great country of ours!

Thanks--I will share the knowledge, and if all the people who read the book do the same, you're right--we might be able to make this country a place people will want to live in.
