|Sorry, and a silly entry about Street Fair Day 2 (with a few sentences about sustainable living)

I'm very sorry, but I as of last night I had three friends pages to go through and was too tired to read them. I'll start out fresh at school with reading the new ones, but if you have anything that needs more comments, or that you just want me to read, let me know and I'll comment on it.
It's been a very busy weekend. It was fun, but twenty hours of work kind of weighs on you after a while. The Sunday crowd seemed to know a lot more about the animals, and whether they had come the previous day as well or were just more knowledgable, it is a good sign either way. It makes me feel like there's some hope left when a five-year-old child comes up and says, "What a beautiful gopher snake!" or "Look, Mom--a pocket gopher!". In my opinion, education is the first step to a sustainable way of living. If people don't know what's going on or the beauty of the animals that need help, they won't really see the point of recycling, saving water, or getting low-emissions cars, for example.
Another thing that was great about yesterday was that I was able to speak loudly. People could actually hear me! I was able to tell the story of how Pockets was caught by a hawk and ended up with us, and how Lazarus' head was run over by a bicycle. Oh yeah, and on switching from Lazarus to Pockets, I said the pocket gopher had been run over by a hawk. People laughed, but I laughed too and corrected my mistake.
Anyway, another good day.
More entries later, hopefully.
