|||||The Pogues Christmas song!||]|
It's December--woohoo! My favorite month!
We spent five hours putting up the Christmas tree yesterday--yikes! We have an artificial one, so we put all the branches on the trunk first. And then the lights (lots of lights), and the tinsel and beads. Kind of fun, but also maddeningly time-consuming. And we're not even done yet! We need to get all four boxes of ornaments up before we're through--count on another five hours for those. But when we're done, the tree shall look gorgeous.
I don't want to go to school today! I'm so tired, and I don't want to tell my teachers I'm going to take a vacation. For those of you who don't know, I'm incredibly shy when not on the computer. So yeah, today will be hard.
But anyway, we watched Fellowship of the Ring yesterday. Or rather, the first DVD. Me and Crystal are saving the second for later. That is the best movie ever! The Two Towers was okay, but they changed too much of the plot from what's in the books. So, having read the books seven times, it really bothers me when things are very unneccessarily changed, especially what the characters do. If I hadn't read the books, I would have liked the movie just fine.
Anyway, enough LOTR madness. On to present-wrapping madness.
I need to wrap the rest of the presents! But this year I hate wrapping for some reason. Oh well. And I need to make a Christmas list. Hey--I can start here!
-The Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn series (taken already)
-Books that will help me see the world for what it actually is
-Stuff to do (like kits)
-Gift certificate to Barnes & Noble, so I can buy some thought-provoking books
-School supplies (everyone likes school supplies!)
-A green LJ shirt
And why am I writing it here? No idea. Well, I guess because it's my journal and I have easy access to it.
Anyway, happy early Christmas to you all!
